(a) Treaty of Hudaybiyya as a pact of peace:

The Treaty of Hudaybiyya was a pivotal event in the early history of Islam. It was signed between the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the leaders of Mecca in the year 628 CE. The treaty allowed for a ten-year period of peace between the Muslims and the Meccans, which was significant because it marked a turning point in the relations between the two groups.

The treaty was important for several reasons. Firstly, it allowed for the Muslims to perform the pilgrimage to Mecca, which had been previously forbidden. Secondly, it showed that the Muslims were willing to negotiate and make concessions for the sake of peace. Thirdly, it allowed for a period of relative peace and stability, which gave the Muslims time to consolidate their position and expand their influence.

The Treaty of Hudaybiyya is also significant because it established a precedent for future peace treaties in Islamic history. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) demonstrated that it was possible to make peace with one’s enemies, even in the face of significant adversity.

(b) Benefits acquired from Battle of Khyber:

The Battle of Khyber was fought in the year 628 CE between the Muslims and the Jewish tribes in the Khyber region of modern-day Saudi Arabia. The battle was significant because it resulted in a Muslim victory and the acquisition of significant wealth and resources.

Some of the benefits acquired from the Battle of Khyber include:

  1. The victory at Khyber allowed the Muslims to gain control of the Khyber region, which was a key center of Jewish power in Arabia. This allowed the Muslims to expand their influence and consolidate their position in the region.
  2. The Jewish tribes in the Khyber region were known for their wealth and resources. The Muslim victory allowed them to acquire a significant amount of this wealth, which was used to support the Muslim community and finance further military campaigns.
  3. The victory at Khyber was a significant boost to Muslim morale, as it demonstrated their military prowess and their ability to overcome even the strongest of their enemies.
  4. The victory at Khyber also helped to spread Islam in the region, as many of the Jewish tribes in the area converted to Islam following the battle. This helped to expand the Muslim community and further solidify their position in the region.
